I also thank all those participated in all the Masses. I could see many younger people and kids in the Easter Masses. It is really a very wonderful thing. Please do come and know more about that campaign.

Today is Divine Mercy Sunday, In the Jubilee Year 2000, John Paul II established this new feast. He said that we receive the Easter Gift. It is the special gift of the total forgiveness of all sins and punishment that the Catholic Church offers in the form of a plenary indulgence today.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Christ is Risen! Indeed! Alleluia! Today, throughout the world, the Church’s proclamation resounds: “Jesus, who was crucified, has risen as he said. Alleluia!” After 40 days of fasting and prayer we joyfully sing, “The Lord is truly risen – Alleluia!” As we celebrate this special feast, I especially extend a warm welcome to anyone who is visiting with us from other places or faith backgrounds. Where, O death, is your victory?

Where, O death, is your sting? Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Cor. 15:55, 57). We know God is powerful. He overcomes evil and even death. This gives us hope and joy. The Risen Lord is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Heb. 13:8).

Today is Palm Sunday. On this day, the Church celebrates the triumphant entry of Christ into Jerusalem in order to accomplish his Paschal Mystery. Today we are not simply reenacting an historical event that happened long ago. Instead, we welcome Jesus Christ HERE and NOW—after all, He is more ALIVE than any of us. What do the crowds tell us today?
