Year of St. Joseph

Coming to Know more about our Spiritual Father, St. Joseph During this important year of St. Joseph, we have the opportunity to come to know more about our spiritual father through a compelling book entitled Consecration to St. Joseph: The Wonders of Our Spiritual Father by Fr. Donald Calloway, MIC. St. Joseph is the Patron of the Universal Church and the Terror of Demons. We need his father protection during these challenging times.

If you are interested in forming a parish group to embark on this initiative, visit consecrationtostjoseph.org for information and speak with your pastor.

For further assistance, including a list of suggested discussion questions, you can also contact diocesan curia staff members Ann Lankford at alankford@diolc.org or Christopher Ruff at cruff@diolc.org.

You will also hear about the fourteen Pregnancy Care Centers in the Diocese of La Crosse and what you can do to help one near you. This afternoon of reflection will have broad appeal for families, adults and teens.

Diaconate Discernment Retreat

Add Sat, Feb 27

Are you a man at least 35 years of age who feels a yearning to give yourself more radically to the service of God and the Church – preaching the Gospel, serving those in need, assisting at the altar? If you think God may be calling you to be a deacon, talk to your pastor about attending the Diaconate Discernment Retreat at St. Mary’s Church in Altoona on Sat, Feb 27.

Then contact Deacon Bryan Hilts, Director of the Office for the Diaconate at bhilts@diolc.org.

A new deacon formation class will begin in the fall of 2021 and attendance at the Discernment Retreat is a prerequisite.
