06-19-2022Weekly ReflectionFr. Arul Doss

Dear people of God,

Happy Father’s Day to all who are fathers or grandfathers or stepfathers! Five weeks ago, we observed Mother’s Day and offered Mass for our moms. Today, on this Father’s Day, we are doing the same – offering our dads, living or dead, on the altar of God during this Holy Mass and invoking our Heavenly Father’s blessings on them.

The Holy Spirit abides within us

05-22-2022Weekly ReflectionFr. Arul Doss

Dear People of God,

Good morning to you all. I reached India safely. All my family members are very happy and grateful of hearing your Love, support and hospitality. On this sixth Sunday of Easter, the readings show us the effects of the abiding presence of God in His Church and of His indwelling in each one of us. The first reading, taken from the Acts of the Apostles, tells us how the Holy Spirit, indwelling in the Church, helped the apostles to solve a major doctrinal problem about the Gentiles becoming Christians, which shook the very foundation of the early Church.

Do You Love Me?

05-01-2022Weekly ReflectionFr. Arul Doss

Dear People of God,

Good morning to you all. We are in Easter season and today is its 3rd Sunday. During this time, we continue to reflect upon the theme of the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

In the first reading, led by Peter, the apostles continued to bear testimony to the risen Christ. Not even the Jews who they were previously afraid of could stop them. Fear now belongs to the past. So, Peter boldly said to the High Priest: “We are witnesses to all this, we and the Holy Spirit…”

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Jesus,

Good morning. First of all, I thank and appreciate all the Ladies of PCCW of our Immaculate Conception, St. Lawrence and St. Boniface for arranging different meals during this Lenten season.

Today we enter into Holy week with Palm or Passion Sunday. We celebrate today the royal entry of Christ into Jerusalem in order to accomplish his paschal mystery. By freely going to Jerusalem, Christ demonstrates his humility and willingness to save us.

Receive the Power of God's Mercy

04-03-2022Weekly ReflectionFr. Arul Doss

Dear People of God,

Good morning to you all. We are getting close to the paschal feast. So, on this fifth Sunday of Lent, all the readings give us hope, and paint a picture of a very bright future for us.

In the first reading, God tells us of the new things he has started doing among us, and for us. He is restoring our hope, and giving us every reason to continue living. This means that in spite of the difficulties of this present moment and season, the Lord will put a smile on our faces soon. Hence, we must be positive about the future as we approach the Paschal celebration.
