Dear Friends in Child Jesus,

First of all, I wish you all with all my heart and with all my prayers, Merry Christmas, and a happy, healthy life. Second, I thank sincerely all the members of my Tri-Parishes for your generous support because of which our three parishes and a School are successfully going on. Also, a special thanks to all the Council members, Office assistant, Deacon, Ushers, Lectors, Ladies of all three PCCW, Musicians, Altar servers, Money counters, Teachers, and other Volunteers who are helping in many ways for administration of our Tri-Parishes.

It is Christmas and the joyful hearts everywhere. Every family has spent a day or two to decorate the house with Christmas trees and jungle bells with the crib of Jesus. The light outside each house illuminates the joy to the onlookers.

God became human for all of us, which is what we celebrate on Christmas. At Midnight (Eve) Mass, there is a familiar story of Mary and Joseph traveling from Nazareth to Bethlehem, finding no room in the inn, and Mary giving birth and laying her son Jesus in the manger; and about the shepherds in the fields being visited by angels who announce glad tidings. At the Mass at Dawn, there is a familiar story about the shepherds coming to adore at the manger. The Mass during the Day talks about the Word, and the Word being with God, and nothing coming to be without the Word, and someone who was in the world but whom the world did not know him, and the Word becoming flesh. It’s important to know that Jesus is the Word, and existed with God before all of creation.

Christmas is the rescue operation of God at all times. COVID-19 is not gone, but varied form of Covid is a threat till now. The pandemic over two and half years has brought devastating consequences in many of our life. Some lost life; some lost jobs; some lost peace; some lost balance; some lost temperance; some lost hope; some lost GOD. But, again, Christmas is the rescue operation of God; the Baby Boy is born. He will deliver us from death, despair, illness, fear, and from all anxieties of life.

“I came so that they might have life and have it more abundantly”. (John 10:10) Jesus is a man of life; a man who could renew your life to the full even if you are lost in sin or unbelief. Even if you are in the deep valley of darkness and fear, he would save you; save you to the fullness of life. Jesus himself said to the disciples of John, “Go and tell John what you have seen and heard: the blind people regain their sight, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, the poor have the good news proclaimed to them”.

Jesus gives a witnessing message. I call upon you this Christmas to witness this message. Come on Christmas to see the Child Jesus in the manger and be healed to become a witness of HIM. Merry Christmas to you all!
