On last Saturday at our St Boniface Church, we had a wonderful Lourdes virtual pilgrimage Event. 29 people from parishes participated in this virtual pilgrimage. Thanks to Waumandee Pastoral and Financial Council members for their initiation. I also appreciate Laverne Pronschinske for arranging all the stuffs needed for this event.

This year, the Easter Triduum will be held at immaculate conception in Fountain City. Our Diocese of La Crosse gives parishes permission to accommodate 50% of its church’s capacity for Masses, following social- distancing. We can’t accommodate 50% of capacity in our Churches with social-distancing but member from same family can sit together.

Good morning to you all. Hope that you are all keeping fine and safe. As we are marching towards Easter, we are drawing to the most important moments in our journey this season. Christ is ready to offer everything for our salvation. So, we too must be willing to offer all for him and for others.

The first reading of this fifth Sunday of lent give us an assurance of God’s continuous presence with us. It also reminds us of the new thing that God is about to do in our midst: “The days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Juda… “I will be their God, and they shall be my people” (Jer 31:31-33).

Dear sisters and brothers in Christ,

As we continue our journey this season, on this third Sunday of Lent, we celebrate Christ the fullness of the Law and the wisdom of God. Today, we called to re-dedicate ourselves to Christ. This is because He is the fulfillment of God’s commandment. Christ cleanses the physical temple in Jerusalem of all that is not leading people to God. We ourselves must be cleansed of all that does not lead us to God.

God morning to all. Hope, you are all safe and healthy. Today we celebrate the second Sunday of Lent. The liturgy of word of God invites us to listen to Christ who suffered, died and rose again for us. If we listen to Him, we shall be successful in our journey with him in our life.

Dear People of God.

The season of Lent has been begun already. Today is first Sunday of Lent. The readings of this Sunday are inviting us to renew our covenant with God.

Our first reading recounts the unconditional covenant between God and Noah who represents humanity. This is a covenant of renewal, recreation and restoration. This covenant was sealed with a rainbow as a sign of God’s faithfulness. One interesting thing about this covenant is that we share in it. God has been faithful to this covenant, to the extent of offering his own son Jesus Christ in order to renew it. Unfortunately, humanity has been unfaithful to God and his covenant. Therefore, this season, God offers us another opportunity to renew our covenant with him through Christ.

Dear People of God,

This is the Sunday before Ash Wednesday and lent season. On this six ordinary Sunday, the readings are reminding us that Jesus is the friend of us all. So, He is willing to do the unimaginable in order to save us. Hence, our Church calls us to make Jesus our role model by caring for the sick and weak.

Our first reading as well as gospel reading peak about the hopeless situation caused by leprosy. Today we have a treatment for leprosy. But in the time of Leviticus and in the time of Jesus Christ, there was no know treatment. Because the causes of the disease were not known. The person with leprosy was exiled from “healthy” human society.

Good morning to you all! May the peace of God be with you!!

On this fifth Sunday of ordinary time, in the three readings we are given the inner sense of three different people and their relationship to what the Father has asked of them. We can put them in this order: Job speaks before knowing of the salvation given to us in Christ Jesus. Jesus speaks to us of His inner calling to proclaim the Good News. Saint Paul then tells us how to proclaim that Good News so that all can come to know Jesus.

Dear People of God,

How are you all? Hope, you are well and healthy. I am praying for you all every day. On this fourth Sunday of ordinary time, the Liturgy of Word of God continues to encourage us to listen attentively to Christ our savior. Jesus is our teacher who speaks with authority.

Our first reading from the Book of Deuteronomy is one of those passages in the bible referred to as the messianic prophesies. Through this prophecy from Moses, God promised us the messiah. This promise was fulfilled in Christ. On his own part, Christ called authentic ministers to be his prophet. So, we need to pay attention to these authentic prophets. Hence: “Those who will not listen to the words of the prophet…shall be answerable to me for it.”

Dear People of God,

I would like to write some reflections on the basis of this third Sunday’s readings as usually. These readings encourage us to re-examine and change our ways in order to avoid the imminent wrath of God, and to enjoy his mercy. They equally remind us of its urgency (in relation to time), which is one theme that runs through and unifies the three readings of this Sunday.

In today's first reading Jonah laments, “Only forty days, and Nineveh will be destroyed”, Paul reminds us in today's second reading that: “Our time is growing short”, while Jesus Christ proclaims in today's: “The time has come…the kingdom of God is close at hand.” So, we must not hold tenaciously to this passing world. Finally, it encourages us to collaborate with Jesus as: “Fishers of Men,” in order to transform and save our world.

Sincerely I thank all those who helped to remove Crib decorations in all our three Churches. I could see your love, enthusiasm, dedication and commitment towards the running of our three parishes. It is really a great of moment of life in USA and appreciate you all.

In this second Sunday of ordinary time, we hear the voice of God louder as always, inviting us to be his disciples. Today, the liturgy of Word of God reminds us that God’s call is real and that, God knows and calls us personally by our names. Thus, it encourages us to respond effectively to this call with our body, soul and spirit.

I would like to write about our Cathedral Capital Campaign because Our Bishop Callahan has asked all pastors to share this message. It is the launch of the La Crosse Diocese. Christ Our Cornerstone campaign to restore the steeple and facilitate other restorations to our beloved St. Joseph the Workman Cathedral at La Crosse.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Jesus Christ,

I especially thank all those who decorated the Cribs and Churches in all our three parishes. I also sincerely thank you all who participated in Christmas Masses. It was a good attendance.

Today we celebrate the solemnity of Epiphany, and in a most special way the day of the three kings who brought Jesus very costly and symbolic gifts of gold, mire, and frankincense. The term Epiphany is of Greek origin, epiphaninen. It is a verb which means “to reveal,” or “to manifest.”
